Glow Ritual is an Ontario based company operating at the intersection of beauty and wellness. They feature ancient plant-powered hair care rituals backed by science. Sumera founded this company after her own hair struggles over the pandemic. While beauty stores are filled with styling products, there was nothing that focused on long-term hair health and preventative maintenance. The green washing of products and passing off products as safe/clean added to this frustration and presented a significant need for a whole new industry focused on hair wellness.

Sumera's background in strategy and advisory services in the public sector combined with her MBA education helped her unpack this problem and shape a whole new industry in the process. The answer came in the form of high-performing plant-based serums that are formulated without fillers, silicones, toxic chemicals, phthalates, artificial fragrances and synthetic dyes. Our hair represents a link to our ancestors and unique histories. Glow Ritual seeks to help people recognize just how beautiful their hair can be with a little extra love. It's a celebration of who we are at the core and where we come from.
